HD DVD a dead format

Man, I hate being wrong and hate it even more that Blue-Ray is going to be the HD standard, but Toshiba has announced that it will no longer produce HD DVDs, making Sony’s Blue-Ray format the de facto winner.
Why do you have that Blu-Ray won? What did HD-DVD have over Blu-Ray?
Blu-ray is da bomb. And, once blu-ray burners/readers are a little more affordable so I can put one on my computer, I’ll be able to burn some HD porn … er, videos to watch on my PS3.
