NMPA suing XM Radio for copyright infringement - Engadget
Question: How is allowing MP3 recording of over the air broadcasting (Satellite, in this case) any different that being able to record radio to a cassette tape? And forget about all the “copy of a copy” and “copy degradation” crap.
The only difference is the US’s broken copyright/legal system and the fact the DMCA-powered companies are smelling dollar signs.

when are they going to learn? as long as something can be seen, heard, or whatever … there will ALWAYS be a way to record or capture it. always.
i love the website that sells songs for no more than 99 cents. but they start off free and slowly cost more and more as more people download the song. i wish i could remember the site, but it’s such a great business model. i heard the bare naked ladies released their newest album on that site!
