The policy is no different than disallowing someone to fly on an aircraft because they’re wearing a kuffiyah.
It’s all about perception. I’m not saying it’s right, but woman are generally considered nurturing and loving towards children - i.e. we’d never want to harm them.
However, there are some sick twisted women out there, just like there are some sick twisted men. The rules that it brings about in society are a direct result of people not knowing what to do or how to prevent/stop it, but fearing they will be blamed if something should happen.
My 2 cents.
That’s sort of irrelevent because it’s just as stupid and any such airline that does something similar deserves to be equally berated.
By your own admission it’s not right, so the perception is wrong and shouldn’t be encouraged. As I pointed out in the links to Digger’s Realm, women are not above evil deeds with young children, so the perception is doubly wrong.
Throwing perception in the mix doesn’t change the fact that women can be just as evil as men with young children and it doesn’t change the fact that these policies are sexist in nature.
That’s why I mentioned it…the policy is a stupid policy and does deserve to be berated.
You didn’t hear me disagreeing with you, did you? Just explaining the why it seems to happen.
