Proof positive that humor from 10-year-olds work.

Of course, you have to be a long-time PvP reader to get the Panda joke.

Boing Boing: Indy label for games

I can’t wait! It does force one to wonder how many tetris or mahjongg clones there’ll be on it, though.

Crystal took this one with her cell phone while we were waiting for dinner at the local habachi grill.

ReactOS

Posted by J.A.S.O.N. on 29 Sep 2005 | Tagged as: Tech

I think ReactOS has reached the point where I’m thinking about seeing how it runs on my P166MHz test box (yeah, yeah, laugh away hyena-boy).

Anyone out there tinkered with it before?

A co-worker bought an iPod nano and was showing it off at work. Many a people walked away green with envy.

She let me get some photos of how it stacks up to other things around hte office, including my cell phone and my iPod.

You can check out the rest of the photos here

Oliver Twist

Posted by J.A.S.O.N. on 28 Sep 2005 | Tagged as: Entertainment

UPDATE: Good movie. Great representation of the time period. Superb acting considering a good bit of the cast were children/young adults. I’m not sure I would have payed movie ticket prices to see it, but it’s going to be on my DVD list. It’s also good to see Hollywood dipping into the classic literature bin, but I’m not sure most of the teen-majority crowd understood that “Oliver Twist” was a book.

Crystal managed to get pre-screening tickets to Oliver Twist for the showing tonight. Not sure if we’ll be able to make it on account of trying to find a babysitter on such short notice isn’t easy. Yay! Movie time!

I’ve never read through the entire book, but the movie looks pretty decent and we don’t really get to do much together outside of Shelby monitoring anymore.

Podcast I may actually like!

Posted by J.A.S.O.N. on 28 Sep 2005 | Tagged as: Entertainment, Internet

I’ve never really been into podcasting. It’s too much like talk radio and that usually bores me to tears.

However, it looks like Better Photo is going to be doing one called the BetterPhoto Show and this may just be the push that gets me into podcasting.

MIT’s $100 laptop

Posted by J.A.S.O.N. on 28 Sep 2005 | Tagged as: Tech

$100 laptops? I can’t wait! Keep in mind it also functions as table and ebbok reader and has the capability to be powered by a hand-crank generator for when power isn’t available.

I could babble on all day about it’s planned features and how cool it is, but it’d probably be better to just read them for yourself.
