I ran across this one while sending photos to the Dogs! Dogs! Dogs! Flickr pool and felt that it showed two things very well:
1. What I put my poor dog through.
2. How truly disturbed my friends are.
BTW, I give up on not using subjects. Too much of a pain in the arse.

Went on my first outing today with the explicit purpose of taking photos. Rick was nice enough to accompany me.
My stuff isn’t nearly as good as his, but he has more experience and a camera that I’d roll him for if I thought I could get a way with it.
I’m a bit dissapointed with what I got because I thought I did better than that, but they’re not horrid, I suppose.
I’m really looking forward to getting out more to practice; most likely with Rick in tow. Hey, when I obsess, everyone else must suffer right along with me! (Link to all my photos taken today)

Shelby does find the weirdest ways to entertain herself. Next I expect her to hang her head out the window while I’m driving.

It’s amazing what you can do with slight tweaks in Photoshop Elements.
I’ve always been a sucker for black and white photos, so I tweaked this photo I took of one of my grandmother’s lawn angels.
It almost makes me think “If this angely could speak, I wonder what she’d say?” It’d probably be “Could you quit with the grass-clippings already?”

Update 2: Back up. Everyone, welcome our new Google overlords!

UPDATE: Sneaky bastards took down the site. I have the client, though. Say pretty-please and I might give it to you!

Google Talk is now live.
Overall, I’m slightly underwhelmed. The voice chat only works between the official Google Talk client. As slick as it looks, the client only runs on windows and I have quite a few friends on Macs and Linux systems.
A plus is that you can login to Google Talk using any Jabber client, so you’re not totally shut out.

I’m looking for a piece of software that will let me select a folder to backup (in this case, the folder has a bunch of folders of images), burn the contents of that folder to CD and prompt me for a new CD to burn to when the current one fills up.
Any ideas?
Nevermind. Picasa 2 does what I need.

Yesterday Crystal, Shelby and myself went to the newport aquarium. Mostly because we’ve never been and I love aquariums. You can see all the photos I took while in the area here or look at the set, however, I’m going to appending photos from other aquariums to the set, so it won’t be Newport specific.
