Nintendo apologizes to Suicide Girls!

Nintendo has forever cemented in my mind that they’re a classy company.
You see, Nintendo sued The Suicide Girls (no link because it’s a pr0n site) [Links here and here].
However, the following was sent to the owner of the site courtesy of Nintendo [Via Boing Boing]:
Hello,
We would like to apologize to you and to those who frequent the suicidegirls.com website for inadvertently contacting you about a fan posting on the website.
We know that many of our fans are old enough to make their own choice about what they want to view on the Internet. We value the support of our fans and we respect their decisions. The letter was sent as part of an ongoing Nintendo program to aggressively protect our younger consumers from the hundreds of sexually-explicit sites each year that use Nintendo properties to attract children. We are proud of our efforts in this area. Unfortunately, the site posting identified in our letter was targeted by mistake.
As a gesture of goodwill, we would like to offer you (and RuneLateralus) a free Nintendo video game system and game of your choice. If you would like to take Nintendo of America up on this offer, please contact the Consumer Services Dept. at 1-800-633-3236 and the system and game will be sent to your address as listed in the WHOIS contact information for suicidegirls.com.
In addition, we would appreciate it if you could provide us with contact information for RuneLateralus, or have him contact us directly, so that we may apologize to him. We would be glad to send him a game and system of his choice through you as well, since we do not have his contact information.
Sincerely,
Christie Hamilton
Nintendo of America Inc.
Consumer Service Department
Now, I totally agree that Nintentdo should have reviewed the results of whatever automated output was generated by their search engines to save themseles some grief, but at least they’re trying to do right by the site owner. Most you would get from someone like Microsoft would be that they drop the charges (after dragging you through court a bit) and told that you were “lucky”.
Guess I should look into a Gamecube, now.
Yes you should look into that, RuneLateralus, I mean Jason.
Naw, still get a PS/2 or X-Box. Nice company aside, their gaming system still is inferior, imho.
It’s not always about the gaming system, man. Nintendo makes some awesom multiplayer “fun” type games.
Dude, it has Monkey Ball and Pac-Man Vs. For these two reasons alone Gamecube pwnz the other two systems in my opinion. (not to mention all of Nintendo’s kick-ass 1st party titles!) Color me fan-boy I suppose, but 9/10 games that are just plain fun to play are Gamecube only if not cross platform. And then there is the awesomeness of wavebirds!! So I’m not sure what you mean by inferior. If it’s not your cup of tea, that’s fine, but inferior is a poor choice of words.
Ok, I’m done ranting now.
