Baby’s fist weekend away

Well, not really. Shelby’s been away from home on the weekend many times. However, this is her first trip out of state for the weekend.

My mother wants to take her to Kentucky to visit family and just play with the other children (something she doesn’t really get to do at home). I have no problem with it, but Crystal’s a nervous wreck.

Don’t get me wrong, she trusts my mom, but her baby’s going to be out of the state! I try not to tease her about it too much, but just can’t help it.

At least we’ll have a weekend together and alone (except for Crystal working). Should be nice.

So, whaddaya think?

This one’s pretty much temporary. Eventually, Crystal and I will share the same blog space and the design will reflect that. I’m even thinking of changing the domain name, too. We’ll just have to see what Chuck and I can dream up (and Chuck has passed along some really neat ideas).

What to switch to…

Posted by J.A.S.O.N. on 27 May 2004 | Tagged as: Site News

I’m still kinda up in the air about what blogging software to switch to.

I’m leaning heavily to Wordpress, but the recent changes to blogger make it very appealing. Comments with the ability to require registration (no comment spam!), easy templates and easy posting. However, I’m limited to one type of archiving with blogger. I prefer to have archiveing done by month *and* by category (oh, blogger doesn’t support categories, either).

I don’t know. I guess it comes down to if I want it really easy and am willing to lose a few features or if I want the whole package but make it harder on myself…

New site ideas

Posted by J.A.S.O.N. on 26 May 2004 | Tagged as: Site News

I’ve got some killer ideas for the site that I’m going to talk over with Chuck (who is very gracious in his hosting). I’m talking them over with Chuck because I have absolutely no idea how I’m going to do them. I just have this awesome picture of the site in my head and REALLY want to do it!

It does involve moving to WordPress, though.

Toothing?

CNN.com - ‘Toothing’ craze goes underground - Apr 18, 2004

I’m speechless…

I wonder how quick religious sects in the US would be to demand the removal/strict governing of technology if this were to start happening in the US?

In either case, the entertainment value of hearing it on the news would be priceless.

Bees Bumbled

My crack team of Ninja Cicada’s have eliminated the carpenter bees! Now to fill up the holes with calk and start painting!

What? I swear! Ninja cicadas! It has nothing to do with bee mating season being over. Why are you looking at me like that?!?

Pinger Thinger

If you aren’t already on of the 200,000 people who read anything but ordinary, then check this out.

It’s a centralized pinger. Essentially, when you ping it, it pings all the other ping sites like weblogs.com and blo.gs.

So I come home today to find a bag of stuff Crystal had left out. Looking through it I see several boxed of medication. “Ah” I thought. “That’s right, Crystal went to the doctor today about her headaches”.

Curious I sifted through the boxed at several names I couldn’t pronounce. Stopped at one I could though:

Early Pregnancy Test

Crap. No offfense to the wife or anything, but I am SO not ready for another kid. Here’s to hoping it’s negative!
