Must…resist…urge…to…buy.

In all seriousness, this is so close to my dream device that I wish I had waited before buying the UX50. The reason I did buy the UX50 is because I didn’t expec the Treo600 to be so darn compelling, I’m not one to fall into the “but the next revision will have xxx, so I should wait” category of buyers.

Ultimately, I’ll wait until I get more of the UX50 paid off and a version of the 600 that has a 320×320 screen. I guess OS6 would be a good thing to wait for, too. We’ll see what Handspring (now a part of PalmOne) has up their sleeve for the next version before I buy anything.

It’s just so oclose, though.

I think I’ve gone long enough without a post, though, truth be told, not a lot’s been going on.

Crystal and I (mostly Crystal) have been working on getting laundry caught up, organizing the mess we have, unpacking things, repacking things we don’t need so we can get rid of them, etc, etc.

I’ve been playing on my Ragnarok server with Teh Remy, John and even Crystal. I’ve been kinda dividing my time between my RO server, Real Life’s server and Shadowbane. Hopefully I can get more people on my server to make it mroe interesting to hang out there. I guess I’ll have to create regular characters just to remember what it’s like
Shelby’s been crawling up a storm and she can walk along things like the table. She’s also able to almost stand on her own. Exciting times!

Poor Lacey (the dog) has been going through a bout of fleas, so we’ve been flea dipping her and Crystal cut her fur REALLY short. I have to think “poor dog” but can’t help but laugh everytime I see her. She looks like a furry Chihuahua. Or a really tall ray. Take your pick.

Oh, and giving up caffeinne REALLY bites!

1hr and 45 mins until I can play Ragnarok. I KNEW there was a reason why I shouldn’t have taken it back up. Oh well. If it wasn’t Ragnarok, it’d be Shadowbane. If not Shadowbane, it’d be Neverwinter. If not Neverwinter, it’d be Diablo. Etc, etc, etc.

As John has eluded to, I’ve setup my own YARE Ragnarok server. I’m working on setting up a web page for it and figure things out like how I can register people without bringing the server down everytime.

John also alluded* to a Real Life server. If I can find the link, it’s something I’ve GOTTA try. I love RL. Not sure how much I’d hang out on it since being a GM character is totally awesome, but who knows.

My car’s decided to act up. No accelleration, no horsepower (I drive a Taurus, any drop in horsepower is noticed) and severe sputtering when stopped.

I’m hoping it’s just in need of new plugs and wires, but who knows. The guys at PepBoys are charging $85 just to hook it up to an analyzer!. Oh well, it’s still cheaper than the local mechanic.

As I browse my BlogPatrol statistics and I see the amount those unfortunate souls using IE (god, I hope by force and not by choice), I’m forced to wonder:

Where are my Mozilla/Firebird (Netscape 7.x) users? Why aren’t y’all representin’?

For those who want a REAL web browser, point your deficient IE browser to www.mozilla.org and grab the latest version of either Mozilla or Firebird. Trust me, you’ll thank me later.

This goes for you mac users, too! IE 5.5 for Mac is ancient and broken and no help is coming it’s way from MS. Get Safari or Camino!

In my feeble attempt to justify my new toy, I’ve decided to try ti integrate it more into my everyday life. As a result, I’ve spent the past hour to two hours entering Crystal’s and my movie collection into Pilot-DB.

I want to emphasize that some of Crystal’s movies are in there, too. I would NEVER own the movies Pearl Harbor, Miss Congeniality, Legally Blonde or Save the Last Dance. The rest I claim (minus select titles that don’t appear in the list
Jason’s Movies list.

If you don’t have a Palm to use Pilot-DB on, you can get the windows program DB-Editor to take a peek at the list. Even if you have Pilot-DB, it’s a handy program to have that makes creating databases MUCH easier.
