Folks, it looks like BlogPatrol may have suffered a server crash or something.
Graphics are missing, accounts are missing, slow connections etc, etc.
Hopefully this doesn’t signal something worse like the last time they dissapeared.

I could see my breath when I went outside to start my car this morning…
That’s too cold.

A friend of mine just turned me on towards woman Democrat candidate for presidency Carol Moseley Braun. After reading through her site, I can appreciate the candor at which she holds herself and how up front she is about the issues she believes in. It’s rare you see that kind of forwardness in a presidential candidate.
However, it’ll take more than quotes to sway my vote when the time comes. To test her mettle, I emailed her campaign site asking about her stances on subjects that concern me, which are not easily solved and would definitely pull my vote were the answers what I liked.
The email I sent is in the extended entry. I won’t hold my breath concerning a response, I gave up on poiticians long ago.

I just talked to my friend Jon in jolly ol England for the first time without using IM or email.
We used a program called Skype. Skype is an interesting program that combines IM and Voice over IP using a peer to peer network system. In english: and IM client that lets you make internet phone calls to other members.
How cool is that? I could easily see this becoming wildly popular easily. It’s also brought to you by the same people who make Kazaa (but minus the spyware).
Phone quality was actually better than phone (well, after Jon fixed his microphone, that is ![]()
Give it a shot, I’m sure you’ll be impressed.

There are some things people do that just leave me totally dumbfounded. Things that just make you sit there slack-jawed thinking “what the hell was he thinking?”
Sometimes I think my head will explode trying to understand what logic people use when doing stupid things like that.
*DOES NOT COMPUTE*

Now, I’m not the type of person to cry foul when white people are left a little on the outs as far as groups go, but these double standards are starting to get to me.
Read this then think about it for a second.
Basically, those opposed to the creation of this club are mostly minorities citing racial tensions. But think about it for a second. How many Asian clubs, black clubs and latino clubs are there out there? I’d wager hundreds. Why shouldn’t a caucasian club be allowed to form?
If you ask Charnae Mosley, peace keeper of Freedom’s Black Student Union (a black club, might I add) (s)he will say “There’s no need for a Caucasian Club because they’re not a minority.” Oh, I get it, you’re only allowed a club if you’re a *MINORITY*. When did that become the rule?
I’m far from racist. In fact, I’d like to see the KKK horsewhipped for the things they pull, but this double standard has to stop. The only way to prevent racial tension is to put everyone on the same footing. I say we eliminate ALL of these ethnicity-based clubs. That’ll alleviate racial tension. If they want to form groups, let them do it based upon majors or points of interest.
The only way to remove racial tension is to remove the barriers. Allowing and encouraging these ethnicity-based groups is doing nothing more than encouraging the racial tension you’re trying to avoid.
That’s my 2 cents, what does everyone else think?

Teh Remy, John and myself went to see Underworld over the weekend. What can I say, Vampires and werewolves duking it out with rapid fire weapons, their fists and, in come cases, sharp weapons.
The movie start with good action and does apretty decent job keeping that momentum going through the movie, though I suspect you’ll change who you’re rooting for half-way through the movie.
All-in-all a very well-made action movie. If you’re a Sci-Fi freak like myself, I highly suggest you see it.
