Reading Upkeep…

Since I’ve switched to Linux, I’ve noticed that it’s very difficult ot keep up with my Blog reads without an RSS reader. Tremendously difficult.
Problem is, I’ve yet to find a decent linux RSS reader. I tried AmphetaDesk, but couldn’t get it installed correctly. I’ve also had my eye on rol, which almost meets my needs, but isn’t quite there. I’ve tried a few others with varying degrees of failure/success, but nothing seems to fit that niche.
If anyone has any suggestions, please pass them along.

I don’t know how familiar you are with NNTP news readers, like Gnus, Pan, slrn or other newsreaders, but I am a very happy user of NNTP//RSS which acts as a gateway, enabling me to read rss feeds the same way I would read normal newsgroups.
Very handy, and it even has an interface from posting to your blog from within your newsreader.

Try FreshMeat.net
oops…….premature posting….
do a search on freshmeat for rss readers…..there are 5
install wine?
Goddess: I tried just about all of them on that page and none were up to snuff. I really wanted to try straw, but it wouldn’t run.
jon: While a valid solution, the reader I was using was dependant on the .NET package, something that won’t work with Wine.
