OK, so it’s been a while since my last post, but I have a good reason! Well, reasons, actually.

First, for those not aware, my wife is pregnant with our first child and she hasn’t actually had a good time with it. She’s been in and out of the hospital with problems controlling contractions. This has put her on bed rest and me out fo free time as I’ve also had to take up her share of the housework on top of waiting on her hand and foot. This sucks. It’ll be worth it in the end, but it sucks right now.

Next, I had to attend one of Crystal’s (my wife) baby showers. Excitement to teh max……Combine this with joyous hours of cleaning the apt and visiting the family and you have one action packed weekend.

During said period, my computer’s power supply decides it wants to die and take 2 of my harddrives with it. I’m really suspecting that there’s more wrong with the motherboard as the computer is not booting nicely at all. So, after a quick run to the ComputerZoo, I have a new 300w power supply, a new 40GB hard drive and a computer that boots strangely. From a cold boot, it won’t recognize the hard drive. After setting it up in the BIOS and rebooting, it recognizes it fine. Repeat process after each shutdown. Yes, I do plan on having them look at it, it’s all still under warranty.

So, there you have it. My pathetic attempt to justify a week off. Sometimes I feel like the walking embodiment of Murphy’s Law. :-(
